The Scarlet Letter

When I first ever heard of the The Scarlet Letter, I really had no idea what it would be about. It actually sounded kind of on the boring side. But one day I was on netflix, and i decided to watch the movie "Easy A". That movie had me hooked, i absolutely loved it. Then when I sat more in class and listened to my teachers speak about the Scarlet Letter, i realized that the movie is actually based on an event that happened, and it also has a lot of history behind it. The Scarlet Letter didn't seem like a boring book at all anymore; actually the complete opposite. Also, reading the history of the Scarlet Letter left me a little surprised because i had no idea that this story had to do with the puritans, and that this story actually had history dating that far back!
